Develop a Clear Sense of Direction

Take your dreams and turn them into clear, specific written goals. One of the most amazing discoveries of all time is that "You Become What You Think About Most of the Time." The two most important factors that determine what happen to you in life are what you think about and how you think about it most of the time.

People who have great success whether online or off line think about their goals most of the time. As a result they are continually moving toward their goals, and their goals are continually moving towards them. If you think about, talk about and visualize your goals you tend to accomplish far more than most people who are normally talking about their worries and problems most of the time.

Follow Brian Tracy's seven step for setting and achieving goals that you can use to become a millionaire:

1. Decide exactly what you want in each area of your life, especially your financial life.
2. Write down your goals clearly and specifically.
3. Set a deadline for each goal. Give yourself a target to aim at.
4. Make a list of everything you can think of that you will have to do to achieve each goal.
5. Organize your list into a plan of action. Decide what is more important and what is less important.
6. Take action on your plan immediately. It is amazing how many goals are never accomplished based only on procrastination and delay.
7. Do something every day that moves you at least one step closer to your goal. Your commitment to daily action will make you a big success in anything you desire to accomplish.

Always think on paper. This exercise alone can make you a millionaire.

Decide where you want to go and go there!

Dream Big Dreams

The first success secret of the 21 success secrets for self made millionaires is to Dream Big Dreams. Marcus Aurelius said, "Only big dreams have the power to move men's souls." If you want to become a success online then you have to first learn to DREAM BIG.

Allow yourself to dream BIG. Imagine and fantasize about the life you would like to live. How much money would you like to earn each year? Where would you like to live? What kind of car do you want to drive?

Just close your eyes and imagine that you have no limitations on what you can be, have, or do in life. Imagine that you have everything you need to achieve what you want out of life. Imagine that all of the resources you need in life are already there for you.

All of these so called "gurus" online are people that have allowed themselves to dream big dreams. They decided a long time ago where they wanted to go and they went there. In fact they decided that they would go where no one has gone before. That's what has given them the advantage that they have today.

Many of these people have practiced "back from the future" thinking. What you do is project yourself forward five years. Imagine that five years has passed and your life is now perfect in every respect. What does it look like? What are you doing? How much are you earning? Create a vision for yourself for the long-term future. The more clear your vision is the faster you move towards it and the faster it moves towards you. You will always move in the direction of your dominant dreams, images, and visions.

Dreaming big dreams will raise your self esteem and cause you to like and respect yourself more. It improves your self concept and increases your level of self confidence.

Ask yourself this question: What one thing would I dare to dream if I knew I could not fail? This question is the starting point on your road to financial independence. I suggest that you make a list of all of the things you would do or attempt if you were guaranteed success. Decide upon one specific action working towards the goal in mind and act upon it immediately.

For many years I was a preacher of the Gospel. And even to this day I am a student of the Bible. I want to leave you with this passage from the Bible in Proverbs 29:18, "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." Without a vision, dream or goal you will perish and never become a success online or offline. So DREAM BIG DREAMS.

The Law of Cause and Effect

I thought it would be fun to blog on a series based on Brian Tracy's book, The 21 Success Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires. Only the idea would be to try to tie this in to Internet marketing.

We are living in the greatest time in all of human history. More people are becoming wealthy today starting from nothing than ever before imagined. According to Brian Tracy there are more than 7 million millionaires in America, most of them self made, and the number is growing by 15 to 20 percent each year.

The best part of this is that virtually everyone starts with nothing. More than 90 percent of all financially successful people started off broke or nearly broke. The average self made millionaire has been bankrupt or nearly bankrupt 3.2 times. Most wealthy people have failed many times before they finally found the right opportunity that they were able to leverage into financial success.

The #1 law of human destiny is the Law of Cause and Effect. Very simple law, yet very powerful. It states that there is a specific effect for every cause. For every action, there is a reaction. With this law success is not an accident. Real financial success is the result of doing certain specific things over and over again until you achieve the desired financial independence that you desire.

The Law of Cause and Effect doesn't care who you are or where you came from. It only says that if you do what successful people do, you will be successful. And if you don't, you won't.

Here is something for you to remember. Nobody is better than you and nobody is smarter than you. One of the primary reasons that we sell ourselves short and give up is because we believe that the person who is doing better than us is better than us. Financial independence is no miracle and it's no accident. It's the result of the Law of Cause and Effect put into action.

What does this mean for me in Internet marketing? It means that if someone else can do it, with enough patience you can do it too. If you learn and follow the same blueprint (and evolve your blueprint a little) you too can be a success online. Not too many self made millionaires were made in a day. What I tell people is to never, never give up because what you do today no matter how small will make a huge impact tomorrow.
